Problem:
When installing the latest version of Onbase ocr the the installation files are no longer in OCR.zip as the instructions indicate. A new download from Hyland refers to "setup.exe". After running this installation the user sees an error that the accusoft OCR engine can't be found.
Any error seen when using OCR with ONBae versions above 37.134 should take note of these changes.
Solution:
The setup for OCR has changed for later versions of OnBase above 37.134
The new setup program for OCR is 60mb and it replaces the old ocr.zip files that the instructions still refer to.
The new setup requires much of the same environment before installing as it did before.
Have onbase files in a local directory on the host pc
Edit the system variable PATH to include this onbase folder
Register the Onbase OCR license on this workstation pc
Two things are different:
1. The setup.exe that is now run will ask where the Onbase executables are. That must be already be a local folder when its run. This process adds the needed files into an OCR folder nested inside the Onbase exe folder.
2. Edit the onbase.ini file inside the [System] section for OCRLocation which should point at the OCR folder inside if the main OnBase exe folder. The name of the file its looking for is XOCR32B.
